FreightPOP supports storing item serial numbers from ERP integrations, which are saved in a backend table and used to populate product details and shipping documents like the packing slip and BOL.

Manually entered serial numbers will not appear on documents.

You can view the serial number on the Quote/Ship page → Product Details Serial Number.

To view the serial numbers for a shipment, click the blue magnifying glass icon.

To manage serial numbers, click the red trashcan to delete or the blue add button to enter new ones.

Enabling Serial Numbers on BOLs

Go to SettingsCompany Page RulesGeneral Options, then toggle Print Serial Numbers on BOL.

The system can store item serial numbers within product details and display them on both the packing slip and Bill of Lading (BOL). These serial numbers are imported via ERP integrations and saved in the system.

When the Print Serial Numbers on BOL feature is enabled (via Settings Company PageRules GeneralOptions), serial numbers will print on the BOL if available.

Note: If the feature is enabled but no serial numbers are uploaded for a product line, the BOL will still display all product details—Qty, SO Number, PO Number, Item Number, and Description—but the Serial Number field will be blank.

Serial numbers will appear on the second page of the packing slip (and a third page if needed, depending on the number of serials).

To enable serial numbers on the packing slip:

  1. Go to SettingsCompanyDocuments and Labels

  2. Click on Shipping Documents Customize

  3. Toggle on Customize Packing Slip

  4. Enable Product Details

  5. Enable Rename Serial Numbers to: (optional, for custom labeling)

If there is more than one serial number it will automatically move to a second page.
