If you're managing multiple shipments headed to similar destinations, FreightPOP’s Consolidation Feature makes it simple to group them into a single truckload — helping you save time, optimize costs, and keep your data clean and trackable.
Truckload Order Consolidation within Order Management
From the Order Management page, just select the orders you want to group. If they’re headed to the same or nearby locations, one click allows you to consolidate them. Once consolidated, FreightPOP instantly creates a combined shipment and locks the individual orders. This means they can’t be edited while included in that shipment, ensuring everything stays organized and synchronized.
Truckload Order Consolidation within Quote/Ship
If you're still exploring options, you might start in the Quote/Ship window. You can consolidate orders here as well — useful when you're still shopping for rates. However, these orders aren’t locked yet. FreightPOP will only lock them once you save the quote as a shipment or manually process the shipment, giving you flexibility while you're still in the decision-making phase.
Smart Stop Grouping
FreightPOP automatically determines whether orders go to the same stop by comparing street number, city, state, and ZIP code — but not street name. This reduces issues caused by minor typos. The address from the last order you select becomes the official stop address.
If all orders are going to the same location, it's treated as a single-lane shipment.
If the addresses differ, FreightPOP creates a truckload with multiple stops.
Adding a new destination later? FreightPOP updates the shipment on the fly and adds a new stop automatically.
Adding and Removing Orders
Adding an order to a saved or processed shipment:
The order is locked in Order Management
A new stop is added if the address is unique
Removing an order:
The order becomes unlocked in Order Management
If it was the only one at its stop, that stop is removed
Shipment details, product lines, and instructions linked to that order are automatically cleaned up
Visibility and Traceability
FreightPOP ensures every consolidated shipment remains transparent:
Each order’s shipment details are copied into the consolidated shipment
Product lines are merged and linked back to their original orders
Pickup and delivery instructions are carried over — combined at the shipment level for single-lane shipments or grouped by stop for multi-stop loads
References and order data are dynamically updated when changes are made
