Use this information as a guide to identify the hardware and software components needed to run the FreightPOP SaaS application.                  

Hardware

Hardware that will support the browser and operating system needed to access FreightPOP. You should take into account all software that you anticipate using in selecting a suitable hardware platform. Minimum requirements include:

• Multicore Intel/AMD processor 4 GHz or faster

• 8 GB RAM or greater

• Hard Disk Space: at least 16GB with a consistent 4GB of unused storage.

Software

Required software includes:

• Windows 10 or newer.

• Internet connectivity (For general usage we recommend a 40 Mbps Download Speed and 30 Mbps UP Speed Internet connection.) The average speed of per shipment processing is 10-14 seconds.

• Microsoft Excel (2007 or later recommended) if Excel exports will be used.

• Google Chrome 126 or later (older versions may work, but you’ll get a warning message when logging in)

  • Note: For your browser, enable JavaScript, cookies, and TLS 1.2. If TLS 1.2 isn’t available, enable TLS

    1.1. Browsers that don’t support TLS 1.1 or TLS 1.2 won’t be able to access FreightPOP after we

    deactivate TLS 1.0.

• For your Chrome browser add our domain to the list of trusted sites and sites that can always use cookies. You want to do that in this manner: allow https://[*.]app.freightpop.com:443

• Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0 or later

Network

For systems that require whitelisting of incoming traffic, the IP addresses below should be whitelisted.

Print, scale, and Scanner in FreightPOP

The printer agent and connection service used for on-premise integrations—have their own browser requirements.

To Use the printer agent and Connection Service for on-premise systems

• Microsoft® Windows 10

• 4 GB of free disk space

• 8 GB of available memory

• Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.2, 4.6, 4.6.1, 4.6.2 or newer.

Please note that special paper (Hazmat Paper, Avery 2 or 4 Label, etc,) is not supported with the FreightPOP Connector and will need to be manually printed.

Compatible Printers and Scales

• Zebra Printers- Desktop, Industrial, (not mobile or RFID). Below are some of the Zebra printer models our current users are using.

  • FreightPOP currently provides setup and troubleshooting support for the printers listed below. 

  • You are welcome to use other printer models, however, we will not be able to assist beyond our basic setup document. Any troubleshooting for unsupported printers will need to be handled exclusively on the customer side.

  • Printers provided by FedEx or UPS often have restrictions limiting the compatibility with our software. These typically do not work with the FreightPOP printer connector.

• Intermec Printers- pm43, pc43t, px4i, pm4i, etc.

• Toledo Scales- Mettler Toledo (USB models only)

• Fairbanks Scales- bench scales, floor scales, pallet scales, etc. (USB Models Only)
