Contacted carriers will receive an email with shipment details for the load the shipper is requesting a Spot Quote for. Upon receiving the Spot Quote email, carriers will find a unique link that directs them to a personalized page where they can submit their response. Clicking the link in the email will take the carrier to their personal Quote Response Page.
Submitting a Quote as a Carrier
When the carrier accesses FreightPOP, they will see the shipment details and have the option to submit a quote.
If the carrier wants to offer multiple quote options (e.g., different speeds or service methods), they can add additional quote lines. Quotes can be removed by clicking the trash can icon at the end of a line.
If the carrier wants to provide a cost breakdown for the total rate, they can click the Add Breakdown button to open the Cost Breakdown pop-up. In this screen, carriers can add labeled Other Charges using the Other Charges box or the Add Charge dropdown, which allows them to specify the charge name.
Freight charges, fuel surcharge, and other charges are automatically calculated to determine the total charges.
Once the quote is submitted, the submitter receives a confirmation message.
If the submitter wants to review or modify their quote, returning to the same URL will display a message indicating their submission status.
Selecting the Edit Quote button will allow for a new quote to be submitted.
Notification of Quote Response
Once the quote is submitted, the requester is notified via email—unless they have opted out in email settings—as well as through an in-app notification or the Dashboard.

Spot Quote Expiration
Spot quotes can be shipped up to 48 hours after the quote is received. After 48 hours, the Ship It button will turn gray, and a new quote request will need to be sent.
Post Shipment
If a carrier attempts to submit a spot quote response for a shipment that has already been fulfilled, a message will appear on the quote submission page, and they will be unable to submit a rate.
If a carrier submits a spot quote, they may receive an email notification if another carrier is selected for the shipment.
To enable this notification, the shipper must activate the setting in Company Details under Email Settings.
